there are many more miles to go.
we woke yesterday on the edge of town (in what nai called an unfriendly motel room) with the intention of jumping in the car and driving straight to cookie's. after a mile or two we found ourselves in tucson proper, and it was unexpectedly cute. despite the 111 degrees claimed by the thermometer, we wandered a bit before driving on.
normally i would take the time to right these images. tonight i ask you to turn your devices on their sides or maybe just tilt you neck; it is far less than those who request that we all just forget our differences. i did not create the program which upends my photos any more than i created a society which expects me to perform hyperbolic feats so that my reality conforms to its comfort level.
this is a beautiful land that my children and i explore. welcome to my world.
somewhere around here a wolf popped up out of a canyon, stopped in front of the car and considered us before moving on.
we landed in silver city around 4 p.m. yesterday. cookie made us soupy beans and salsa(all ingredients grown in her yard).
the following are bugs of unidentified nature having quite the orgy on cookie's thistles.
this winter's clay projects were tiles
the most beautiful fountain ever
we left silver springs around 11 a.m. headed for fort davis, texas, and saw a rainbow somewhere
low on gas, i pulled into a station. it was abandoned save two border patrol guards(such a funny thing to witness imaginary lines so heavily guarded) who told me there was no gas in town, and i should be able to make it to the next stop on a quarter tank.
eventually the gas light went on and what (to my wondering eyes) did appear?
